A continuing exploration of Indonesian regional voices, language, identity, and contemporary rhythmic ideas—music rooted in the Nusantara, made to travel.

The Concept

Local stories. Wider ears.

Nusantara Fusion began as an exploration of Indonesian linguistic diversity through unexpected musical combinations. The project's central idea is simple: “sedih tapi goyang”—melancholic storytelling carried by rhythms that invite movement.

The project is not a race to complete an album. It is an evolving body of work, and its direction is allowed to change as the audience grows and the music reaches new places.

The Musical DNA

A bridge, not a collision.

Linguistic Anchor

Regional Indonesian languages and dialects remain at the center of the song, preserving the identity and emotional texture of the original voice.

Rhythmic Bridge

Contemporary grooves and rhythmic influences provide an accessible musical frame without replacing the cultural language at the heart of the song.

Emotional Core

The stories stay intimate: longing, heartbreak, memory, hope, and the ordinary emotions that make a local story understandable anywhere.

Beyond Borders

The project increasingly serves as a bridge toward listeners outside Indonesia, allowing the music to grow more bilingual and internationally accessible without abandoning its roots.

The Journey So Far

Nyanda Bisa Hilang

Released · 26 November 2025

The opening release of the project, establishing the idea of regional language meeting a contemporary rhythmic framework.

Lonto Nai

Released · 22 December 2025

The second release—and an important turning point in the project's broader journey as the audience began extending beyond Indonesia.

Ai Holong

In development · No release date announced

A forthcoming Nusantara Fusion song combining Betawi and Batak language elements. The track is already in advanced development, but its release timing remains open.

The Bridge

Roots first. Borders later.

After “Lonto Nai,” Martin began releasing more bilingual Indonesian–English and full-English singles as a deliberate bridge toward a growing audience outside Indonesia.

Nusantara Fusion remains active—but the project is intentionally not being rushed. The music will continue when the time feels right.

What Comes Next

Let the audience grow with the music.

The goal is not to make Indonesian music less Indonesian. It is to create enough connection for listeners beyond Indonesia to stay, listen again, and eventually discover where the music came from.

This project is ongoing and its release schedule is intentionally flexible.
